The Ontario Cycling Association is offering a Provincial Level C Commissaire course for Road Cycling. The two-day course will be held on Saturday February 16th and Sunday February 17th from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the Milton, Ontario at the Milton National Cycling Centre.
This introductory level course will cover the structure of the sport of cycling, roles of the commissaires’ panel, basic road principles, types of road cycling events and skills required to officiate a road event at the provincial level.
In addition to attending both days of class instruction and passing the written exam, participants are required to work two road cycling events as a Technical Assistant in order to complete training for the Level C license.
The cost for the course is $100 +HST. An ear piece radio attachment will be provided upon passing the written exam and $50 will be refunded upon the completion of two Technical Assistant assignments. Attendance is required on both days to complete the course.
The course is open to anyone with an interest in road cycling. A minimum of 5 registrants is required for the course to run. Attendance is required on both days to complete the course.
