Congratulations to all Ontario athletes who were at the 2015 Global Relay Canadian Championships this past weekend in Saint-Georges, QC.
Ryan Roth place 3rd in the Elite Men Road Race and Benjamin Perry placed 1st and Alex Cataford placed 3rd in the U23 Men Road Race. Jamie Gilgen took 3rd place in the Elite Women Road Race. On the Para- Cycling side Robbi Weldon and Mark Ledo both finished 1st in their respective road races. Shelley Gautier placed 2nd in her race to earn a silver medal. Next up for Cnadian Para-Cyclists will be the 2015 UCI Para-cycling Road World Championships in Switzerland followed by the Parapan-American Games in Toronto.

The 2015 Global Relay Canadian Championships kicked off June 25 in Saint-Georges, QC with the time trial races for both Elite Men, Elite Women, and Para-Cycling.
Ontario athletes did exceptionally well with multiple podium appearances throughout the day. On the Elite Men’s side Ryan Roth (Silber Pro Cycling) finished 2nd to take silver and Jordan Cheyne (Ride With Rendall p/b Biemme) finished close behind with a 4th place finish.
The U23 race saw Alex Cataford (Silber Pro Cycling) finish with a time of 1:00:49.46 to take the top spot. Peter Disera (H&R Block Pro Cycling), Travis Samuel (H& R Block Pro Cycling) and Jack Burke (Team NCCH p/b DEC Express) finish 6th, 7th, and 8th respectively.
Elite and U23 saw Ontario riders Annie Foremann-Mackey (The Cyclery-Opus) finish 5th and Emily Flynn (The Cyclery-Opus) finish 7th in their respective fields.
Ontario athletes also finished multiple times on the podium in the Para-Cycling races. Shelley Gautier (Team Ontario), Mark Ledo (Real Deal/Gears p/b WaspCam, and Robbie Weldon (Fort Langley Cyclery) all finished 1st in their categories to earn a gold medal. Jeff Murphy (Team PBR) took 2nd in his race.
