|Saturday November 10:||Shimano Canadian CX Championships (UCI CN)|
|Sunday November 11:||PTBOCX Lift Lock Cross (UCI C2)|
Peterborough Cycling Club and Cycling Canada, as well as the Ontario Cycling Association and all of our partners and sponsors are proud to present the Shimano Canadian Cyclocross Championships and the PTBO CX Lift Lock Cross UCI C2 events. The event is a three day cyclocross celebration. On the evening of November 9th, a corporate relay race, a CX style Running race, and a night time fun race will take place. It will be followed by the Shimano Canadian Cyclocross Championships on November 10th, which is the main event. Finally, the PTBO CX Lift Lock Cross UCI C2 race will take place on November 11th. This Technical Guide covers both the Canadian Championships and the PTBO CX Lick Lock Cross UCI C2 events.
The Championships will take place in the Nicholls Oval Park, where many events and festivals take place. It is located on the shores of the Otonabee River and on the Trans-Canada trail at the intersection of Parkhill Rd. and Armour Rd. in Peterborough ON.
Located steps from Peterborough’s Downtown and East City, the Trans-Canada trail provides bike path access to both city center locations. Peterborough is known for and was settled due to the main water way passing through town, the Otonabee River and the Trent Severn Waterway. Nicholls Oval Park is on this main waterway. The Peterborough Cycling Club has been hosting cyclocross races in this park for over 10 years with more than 40 cyclocross races having taken place here. This park is also home to the Peterborough Rugby club, Peterborough Folk Festival, and many other events and festivals. This location has a long history with Peterborough for festivals and sporting events making it a perfect location for this prestigious cyclocross event.
