In it’s second decade, the Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred is billed as “The Toughest Century Ride” in Ontario. It is a well established Charity Century Ride in Bancroft, Ontario with the option of a full 100 mile century ride or the lesser 100 kilometer metric century ride or even a short 37 kilometer ride. All three will weave you through the colourful fall hardwood forests, lakes, hills and valleys of the Canadian Shield. This is a fun and challenging charity ride to wrap up your summer cycling season.

…The Hilly goes again this year September 29th. There is early bird registration until August 1, followed by another price increase September 10th.  We will limit registration to 150 riders. We like to think we provide a fully supported event. Register early

Jerseys will be available to purchase at this event. If registration is not full, there will be day of registration at 07 00 h. Cash or cheque only please

The Courses:

The Big Blue Cliver

It is a full on Century ride (100 miles) named after our founding father, starting and finishing in Bancroft. You will experience quiet back roads, large and small lake vistas, rolling hills and the occasional bits of wild life. Three fuel/rest stops. About a kilometre of elevation gain. There is a bail out option to limit your ride to 100 km if you need.

The Red Canadian Metric Century

100 kilometres that includes the nasty Graphite Grind (just ask previous participants) with two rest stops and all the flora and fauna of the Big Cliver.  Although shorter the climbing is close to that of the Big Cliver.

The Green Chrissy Loop

Our dearly departed Hilly pioneer enjoyed a more sensible short and fun ride. Somewhere around 40 km. Perhaps you are a beginner or want to keep busy while your more intense roadie partner pounds the longer course(s). We are planning a different short route for this year.
