Crit Series #3 - Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix O-Cup @ Kitchener | Ontario | Canada

This event is apart of the The Ontario Criterium Series that stretches from Ottawa to Windsor. Double series points will be offered to riders that addend the Preston Street Criterium and/or the Tour di via Italia. Over $50,000 in prize money is up for grabs over the course of the series. That doesn’t include a purse of over $4,000 for the overall series winner which will be given out at the end of the series in Windsor!

The 3rd Annual Nationally Sanctioned Kitchener Twilight Grand Prix is proud to be back on Cycling Canada’s national calendar for 2017.  The route has been changed to twist through and around Victoria Park – the jewel of the city. Victoria Park’s stunning beauty will be the host site to the 1.3km downtown Kitchener Criterium Bike Race.  Victoria Park is nestled in the heart of our downtown, and just a short walk from city hall.  The park is a haven of tranquility and a recreational destination for residents and visitors alike. The official opening in 1896, including a gorgeous lake, iron bridges, two cannons, wild fowl, flower beds and hundreds of trees with exceptional areas for families to enjoy the day we estimate approximately 5000+ spectators will enjoy the event in 2017. We are excited about the new venue, route and spectator base that will be watching the races on Friday afternoon and into the evening highlighting the pro men’s field at night.
