XCMarathon 1: Turkey Point @ Turkey Point
Apr 13 all-day

Tentative – More details to follow!

How Long: Marathon race, 3 hrs for first place is the goal, and Half-Marathon goal is 1.5 hours and 45 minutes for the Sprint/U19. The distance and course will be confirmed as we get closer and have some idea what the weather is doing!

Why: Because it is the most fun you can have on a bike on April 13. Connect with old friends and test out the legs before the first big races

What is different this year? We have moved! The first XCMarathon race of 2019 will be at Turkey Point! The trails are the first dry trails in the province each year. In fact there is a Spring Kicker Mountain Bike Festival each year hosted by the Turkey Point Mountain Bike Club, which will be the day after the XCMarathon race. Come down for the weekend and race Saturday, camp out, and ride/demo Sunday. There will be lots of food and fun happening all weekend.

Please note: Information is considered tentative until the necessary paperwork has been completed by the organizers. As more details are confirmed there will be more information on the calendar.

XCMarathon 2: Sausage Suit ITT @ Dufferin County Forest
Apr 20 all-day

Tentative – More details to follow!

What is the Sausage Suit ITT: This is a time trial format cross country mountain bike rac Instead of one big group leaving at once and bunching up in the first single track, and intimidating beginners, riders at the SSITT will head onto the course one at a time in 30 second intervals. Set your own pace and go as hard as you like. If someone catches you from behind, please let them by as quickly as you can SAFELY (both for you and for them).

This is a ~20k race/~ 45k race.

The Course: It will be fun for anyone to ride. If you are not a super strong single track rider you will have fun. If you are a strong technical rider, you will go fast. For 2019 the course will be redesigned with new trails and a new layout.

Please note: Information is considered tentative until the necessary paperwork has been completed by the organizers. As more details are confirmed there will be more information on the calendar.
