The Growling Beaver Brevet made its debut in 2015 to celebrate cycling and to help people with Parkinson’s to live well today. All fundraising proceeds will go to support the joint network of the Davis Phinney Foundation and ParkinGo Wellness Society. The Growling Beaver Brevet is a social (non-race) ride to celebrate cycling with 200 cyclists riding 40, 100 or 200km routes through the scenic Beaver Valley at what should be the height of the fall colours. The day will feature Beaver Valley and Georgian Bay communities and merchants that have supported cyclists through the summer season. The routes have been conceived with a mix of tarmac and scenic country gravel roads. Every rider will carry a “passport” that will be authenticated at check points.
The Hastings Highlands Hilly Hundred, billed as “The Toughest Century Ride” in Ontario, will leave you in awe as it weaves it’s way through the colourful fall hardwood forests, lakes and hills and valleys of the Canadian Shield. A well established Charity Century Ride in Bancroft in North Hastings, this is a well supported fun and challenging ride to wrap up your summer riding plans. We have chosen the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 2017 so you can spend the Thanksgiving weekend with family and friends and justify your riding as a turkey and pumpkin pie fat burning endeavour! We will feed and water you well!
We’re providing tour riders with three course options. For those who are looking for a challenge, we recommend the classic Century 100 mile course. We’re offering a shorter 100 km course for those who want something a little less demanding. There’s even a shorter 37 km course for those who aren’t into getting their quads all knotted up on epic climbs.Register Today
