Message from the Board

As Board Chair I felt it important to update you with regards to our most recent AGM held on November 19th 2016 in London Ontario. We had a successful meeting and an open dialog about future development with those in attendance.  The board would like to thank all who participated either in person or by  way of proxy. If you were unable to attend but wish to review our AGM package and financial statements, they have been posted on the OCA website here:        http://www.ontariocycling.org/about-ontario-cycling/annual-general-meeting/

From the report you’ll notice that the OCA is:

  1. Financially sound.
  2. Experiencing growth.
  3. Committed to improving the quality of programs and services for the athletes, coaches, officials and general members who enjoy this great sport.

We are fortunate to have excellent and resourceful staff who successfully execute on the day to day operations of the Association.  The Board  wishes to formally thank the hard work and dedication demonstrated by Jim, Michael, Jen, Chris, Alex, Kim, and Sean

While Track season has officially started, so has the planning season for the Board.  Just prior to the AGM we held our annual retreat and completed our 2016 program review.  Next on the agenda is our 2017 budget and operating plan to complement and deliver on the associations Strategic Plan which continues to guide us.

I’m pleased to continue serving on the board alongside a dedicated group of volunteers and with the knowledge and experience from Michael Cranwell, Malcolm Eade, Mark Gilligan, Enrico Traini, Emma Wiechula, Kyle Douglas and myself, 2017 looks to be a very promising year for the OCA.

As always, should you have thoughts or suggestions on ways we can grow our sport, please feel free to email the board at oca-board@ontariocycling.org or through the contact link on our web site.

Yours in Sport,

John Pugsley

Board Chair
