National Cycling Centre Hamilton Offers Testing for Clubs, Teams and Athletes

The NCCH is now offering Club’s, Teams, and Individuals the opportunity to utilize the services of our Computrainer Studio to assist in enhancing your cycling development.

These services include;

Group Functional Threshold Power (FTP) Testing:

Functional threshold power (FTP) is a key metric for cycling performance. Defined as the maximum average power a cyclist can maintain over a one-hour effort, functional threshold power is particularly important for time trial specialists and for short-course and Olympic distance triathletes who need to know how to pace their effort over thirty-to-sixty minutes.

The test is conducted in our Computrainer Studio in Ancaster. Our facility has 21 Computrainers and is ideal for groups. Your FTP test runs for 20mins plus warm up, so you need to allow a total of 45mins. We recommend testing every 6-8weeks.

Cost:

Individual – $100 each

Group 5 – $30 each

Group 10 – $25 each

Group 15 – $20 each

Group 20 – $15 each

Results will be given to the individual or Coach.

Computrainer sessions:

NCCH has Computrainer sessions available, these last from a minimum of 1.5hrs. $10 per session.
