The Ontario Cycling Association is excited to announce that after a one-year hiatus, the OCA Cycling Celebration Awards Gala is returning in 2020.
Taking place the evening of Saturday February 01, 2020 at the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto/Burlington, the OCA Cycling Celebration will be one of the events held over busy weekend of activities. Also taking place on Saturday will be the OCA’s annual Club Development & Excellence Summit as well as a Coaches Conference.

The OCA Cycling Celebration recognizes the successes and contributions of athletes, coaches, volunteers, organizers and others involved in growing the sport of cycling. Previous athlete award winners include some of Canada’s top cyclists and para-cyclists including Benjamin Perry, Emily Batty, Amelia Walsh and Shelly Gautier.
This year several new awards will be introduced, including awards to recognize younger developing athletes, masters athletes, and para-cycling athletes.
OCA Membership Manager Chris Baskys believes these changes will only help to recognize more of those members and non-members who contribute to cycling in the province.
“One thing as staff we wanted to do was recognize that not only do we have some of the top performing athletes in the country but that we have some amazing athletes and volunteers who contribute to make local racing, program development, and cycling in general in the province special. It was important to us to recognize these individuals in addition to some of our highest performing international athletes.”

As this is a celebration of the season, the OCA office is looking for help in putting together a slideshow of photos from throughout the 2019 season. We are looking for your most memorable and joy filled photos from this past cycling season. Whether it is you competing at an OCA sanctioned event, or a group of friends at your local weekly series or club ride, we are looking to celebrate it all.
If you have any photos that you would like to contribute to the slideshow, please contact the OCA office.

A reminder that all the proceeds from the sale of raffle tickets goes to youth program initiatives in the province.
The OCA Cycling Celebration is not possible without continued support from sponsors. It is a great opportunity for businesses to connect with members and VIP and share in the successes the season has brought.
