Ontario Youth Cup Road Series “Mayhem in May”

What a way to kick off the 2019 Ontario Youth Cup Road Series. KW Cycling Academy promoted the doubleheader event at two (2) Race Car tracks in Central Ontario.

Flamboro and Delaware Speedways hosted the “Mayhem in May” Youth Cup #1 and #2 events. Families couldn’t get any closer to the racing action, as the infield was filled with team tents and flags. Cars and trucks were also spread out to make the venues look like a true bike racing facility.

Five (5) categories of racers compete in both an endurance road event and street sprints. Families came from across the province to test their fitness against racers of their own ability. All the top teams/clubs in Ontario were in attendance, including Attack Racing, NCCH, Midweek Cycling, Peterborough Cycling Club, Ride with Ryan, and KW Cycling Academy.

The racing was fast and exciting with boy’s and girls under the age of 18 competed together during the race day. Full race results can be found at racetiming.ca.

Next up in the Ontario Youth Cup road series is Youth Cup #3 on June 22nd, the Midweek Youth Cup, to be held in Mississauga. Registration will be posted soon!
