10 Questions Team Ontario for Canada Summer Games
1. What is your age and hometown?
A. Age 22, hometown-Toronto.
2. When you're not biking what is some of the things that you like to do? I.e. Hobbies.
A. Cooking, growing tomatoes in the garden, listening to music, school.
3. Given the chance to ride with anyone who would it be and why?
A. Eddie Mercx was a legend; it would be interesting to meet him.
4. How do you feel your performance has been thus far in the season?
A. The road race at nationals and the CSG qualifier ITT were highlights—but I definitely still have lots to learn!
5. Who do you feel is the most up and coming rider on this years Canada Summer Games Team and why?
A. I hear Emily Batty's a superstar, and so is Denise Ramsden. Jamie Riggs' breakaway at nationals was pretty cool.
6. What is favorite place to ride? Why?
A. Close to home, definitely Guelph—lots of quiet country roads to explore.
7. Finish the following sentences:
My last thought before a big bike race (such as nationals) is…
A Usually I try not to think, and just focus on what's happening.
I live by the phrase…
A "Always do what you're afraid to do."
What motivates you to compete?
A Love the feeling when you've left everything out on the road.
8. If you could give a cycling race tip to anybody – what would it be?
A. Even if you don't think you have a shot, or you've been dropped, keep racing—often things work out!
9. What has been the happiest moment on your bike thus far?
A. Finishing the road race at nationals—what a tough race!
10. Are you excited for Canada Summer Games this year? and why?
A. Really excited! It should be a great time racing with some fast ladies—and working as part of a team.
