WAY TO GO BOYS!!!!
Saugeen Shores O-CUP
The highly anticipated Saugeen Shores O-cup is only a few weeks away and with the strong crew, new track layout (August 2008) and great beach up in Saugeen, this race is a favourite of many riders and their families. Make sure you pre-register to save you time and money at www.ontariocycling.org Click on the tab on the Left hand side of the page ONLINE REGISTRATION then highlight the EVENT REGISTRATION tab . . . . easy to follow from there.
If you are not comfortable with registering online with a CC, pre-register at your local track at their registration booth. You can pay by cheque or cash instead of credit card. There is no CC registration on the event weekend. If you are using a cheque, please make payable to SAUGEEN SHORES BMX
KINGSTON O-CUP SERIES FINAL AND PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Please do not forget that the final weekend in Kingston is PRE-REG ONLY. There will be NO onsite registration. You can pregister with your local track up to the Thursday at 6pm, or on the OCA website until Wednesday prior to the race. This weekend is a weekend full of points tabulations and by cutting back on the registration process that takes place at the track, it allows more time to work on the points. The OCA and the registration crew thanks you in advance for your understanding.
Saturday is the finals of the O-Cup Series and Sunday is the AGE ONLY Provincial Championships.
BITS AND BITES . . . .
Congrats to Austin Harper who won the Hole shot and Manualling competition at the Eastern Canadians. Repping!!
Congrats to Amelia Walsh for representing Canada at the Worlds. Amelia was jumping the 28 foot double at the bottom of the start hill and in one moto was first into the first corner - more good things to come from this new bmx racer.
This season has been WET WET WET - please respect all the volunteers at your track and dont ride it when it is wet. This just creates so much extra work for them all (probably including you and your parents too!). PLEASE stay off your track when it is wet.
