Introduction For riders who enjoy challenging courses and competing against the best riders from across the province, the Ontario Cup Road Series is for you. The Ontario Cup Road Series is 11 events in length with the Provincial Road Race Championships. Events are typically scheduled monthly and the series always includes the Provincial Criterium Championship, the Provincial ITT Championship and the Provincial Road Race Championship.
The OCA O-Cup selection process results in only the best events becoming part of the Ontario Cup Road Series. The series combines traditional events on the OCA calendar with a blend of time trial(s), criterium(s), road race(s) and stage race(s). Only a diversified dedicated rider will be crowned Ontario Cup Road Series Champion.
O-Cup riders are categorized by age, except in the Senior Men category. The Senior Men category is split into 4 categories with the Senior 1/2 Men racing together. The Senior 3 men earn upgrade points at events to move up to to the Senior 1/2 race. Senior 4 men earn points ot upgrade to Senior 3.

Season ending Ontario Cup Road Series point totals will be a simple tally of the all the O-Cup points earned at O-Cup events for the current year. In the event of a tie, the Series Champion will be decided by the highest placing at the Ontario Road Championships, followed by the Provincial Time Trial if required.
New for 2009: O-Cup points and upgrade points will be consumed by out of Province riders. i.e. A rider with a Quebec licence who finishes 3rd in a O-Cup will "consume" those points.
Competition Results and Protests If a rider has a race problem/protest at an event they should deal immediately with the Chief Commissaire at that event. The Chief Commissaire's decision shall be final. If a rider wishes to further appeal the decision, a written protest must be filed to the Provincial Chief Commissaire c/o the OCA within 10 business days.
NOTE: Any race result discrepancies must be reported to the finish commissaire within 15 minutes of being posted at the event. Following this 15 minute period, results are considered final and are signed off as official.
USCF Domestic Licences Riders with USCF Domestic Licences will be permitted to purchase a One-Event Racing Permit in the equivalent category as stated on their USCF Domestic licence. This will include all categories up to and including Senior 1/2.
