The Canadian Junior Virtual Cycling Series continued last week with a climb focused race on the virtual iteration of the Nanoose Bay Road Race created on the RGT Cycling app. Based off the real world course located along the scenic coasts of Vancouver Island. Like it’s real-world counterpart, the race was filled with short climbs and a brutal final 3km that pitches upwards of 20% and an average pitch of 10% over the last 1.3 km’s.
Organized by Saskatchewan Cycling and Cycling Canada, the series is also sponsored by Velo NB, Alberta Bicycle Association, Manitoba Cycling, 4iiii and the Ontario Cycling Association. Races are held on the RGT Cycling platform with courses created using real Canadian roads. Every other week a different region of Canada will be featured in a virtual race up to an hour and a half in length.
