This initiative was launched a few years ago and saw tremendous growth in 2018. #ONWomensRideDay will see a number of clubs from across the province host try-out ride opportunities marketed toward increasing female cycling participation. Along with the try-out options, this year will also see the added inclusion of the Pulse Racing Women’s 4 Hour MTB Relay (Event Info) for those looking to get their feet wet in a fun competitive type activity.
“CCN is proud to support the 2019 Ontario Women’s Ride day and in a small way assist in introducing more women to the joys of cycling. Thanks to the OCA and their established club community, for taking the initiative on this event and continuing to help grow our sport and community.”
– Phil Mowatt – CEO of CCN powered by Interpodia
“We are thrilled to have CCN on board once again to help us for #ONWOMENSRIDEDAY on June 01. It is great to have this amount of interest and dedication to such an important initiative. Getting more people on bikes is important and our strong affiliated club program is a great first step for anyone interested in cycling, whether it be recreationally, socially or eventually competitively. We certainly would not and could not see success in this area without the dedication of our clubs, and partners.”
– Chris Baskys – Membership Manager, Ontario Cycling Association
