We are sorry to say that Ride with Rendall has decided to cancel the Clarence-Rockland Classic set for this Sunday, Aug 27, 2017.
Unfortunately, registration has been much lower than normal for this event and we learned yesterday that the city will not be able to provide us the regular number of by-law officers and fire fighters that they have been able to in the past. Without the support we need, we cannot offer the same level of safety for our riders as we have in previous years, or fully comply with our insurance policy. Rider safety needs to be our priority, and as much as we wont to hold the event we just cant risk it, and have to make this difficult decision. Thank you to those who preregistered, the volunteers, radio support, and the City of Clarence-Rockland.
We will be issuing refunds to everyone, over the upcoming weekend. This will be via an e-mail transfer from our Ride With Rendall account. We will also draw the lucky winner of the 50/50 draw and announce who that person is over the weekend.
We do hope to bring this event back to you next year!
Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you can please pass the message on to the people in your cycling circle, to ensure that everyone receives the message.
Glen & Tas Rendall and Jason Cheney.
