Greg’s Cycle for Kids is being held in support of children in Hamilton and the Halton Region.
Hosted by the Share the Road Cycling Coalition, the event is held in honour of Ontario Provincial Police Sergeant Greg Stobbart who was killed in 2006 while on a training ride on his bike. Through a partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Halton and Hamilton, proceeds from the event go towards assisting kids in priority neighborhoods as well as supporting Share the Road’s work.
The event will take place on September 19th and 20th in the Hills of the Halton Region. In accordance with public health guidelines the ride will be open to a maximum of 95 riders per day. Participants will be required to register for a specific time where groups of maximum 10 riders will depart in intervals.
There are two possible ride routes on Saturday and Sunday, a 100 km route and a 160 km route with a third 50 km route on Sunday.
