September 19 – 27, 2020 marks the 15th annual National Coaches Week in Ontario! NCW is a week to celebrate the tremendous positive impact coaches have on athletes and communities across Canada. This week is an opportunity to recognize coaches for the integral role they play by simply saying #ThanksCoach. This course has been subsidized by the Coaches Association of Ontario as part of National Coaches Week. You can learn more about the week here: https://www.coachesontario.ca/events/coachesweek/
This online course will explore the youth development pathway, explain basic coaching principles and prepare you to begin your program delivery and coaching course pathway. Though virtual, this course will explore partner work, group discussions and mini-projects to allow participants to gain the most out of their virtual coaching experience.
The Let’s Ride! Community Initiation is one of two coaching courses necessary to complete your Community Initiation Certification (the old coaching level 1). This course partners with the on-bike skills course called Basic Cycling skills to begin your journey into on-bike coaching with both youth and beginner adults.
