Riders were certainly feeling the burn after Race 6 which took them through the Innsbruckring course based on the grueling 8.8km Innsbruck circuit in Austria. Each lap riders were sent either up a sleight grade or down a sleight grade with little flat racing to be found.
Each lap also featured the ‘Leg Snapper’ a climb which Zwift claims is one of the most demanding on any course. While it’s only 450m long, it’s a 7% grade that required a full gas sprint to master. Following the Leg Snapper, racers faced 3.5km of combined flat and downhill racing to finish which led to an eventful late race breakaway.
The race saw 80 OCA registered riders and 75 non-registered racers for a total field of 155 riders. Series organizer Andrew Paradowski once again provided a play-by-play for riders and spectators to enjoy during the race.

For Race Seven anyone who wants to race must register HERE by 6:00pm on Friday June 12th. This allows us to create start lists and finalize results. While racers are allowed to take part in the race without registering, their results will not be captured by the OCA.
Back to North America this week as we attempt to stand on the shoulders of giants. The Richmond UCI World Championships Course is loaded up as you will all get a chance to recreate famous moves on the cobbles.
Racers are also reminded to modify their Zwift username to include their category code so everyone knows what category they are racing during the event. If youth or women racers wish to participate in a category outside of the ‘D’ or ‘E’ category respectively, please contact the organizer prior to registering.
